I’ve launched electronic subtitles during screenings at BAMPFA and the San Francisco Silent Film Festival, usually for English translations of silent film intertitles.
And I’ve consulted with the Castro Theatre, the Roxie Theater, and other exhibitors on how to incorporate live subtitling into screenings of foreign films without English subtitles.
